Clarity has a method.
The principles behind our educational guides and planning tools.
Explain the decision, not just the vocabulary.
Our guides organize a question into smaller steps: the information to gather, the assumptions to make visible, the tradeoffs to discuss, and the next action to consider. We avoid presenting a general example as a promise about an individual property.
Separate education from individualized advice.
Local requirements, agreements, household circumstances, and market conditions can change what is appropriate. Consult qualified professionals about your situation. Publication on this site does not establish a professional-client relationship.
Make limitations visible.
Calculator outputs use only the values and categories shown. They are not appraisals, lender decisions, tax calculations, or final settlement figures. Guide checklists are organizational aids and cannot identify every obligation in a transaction.
Use primary resources for further research.
For mortgage education, visit the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s mortgage resources. For project research, the FTC provides information on residential solar and home improvement scams. These organizations do not endorse this website.
